UMA UDYOG, the flagship company of the group was incorporated in the year 1978 under the brand name of "UMA", spearheaded by Mr. M. M. Khemka. The Group deals in a wide range of agricultural products and spices like Dry Red Chillies, Turmeric, Cumin Seeds, Rice, Sugar, Ground nut, etc. The group is also engaged in exports of Shopping Jute & Cotton bags under "UMA Juco Exports", a green initiative undertaken in 2019.

On account of the increasing business, the group recently hived off their spices business to Umaexpo Private Limited, newly established in 2020.

Mukesh Khemka, Chairman & Director: Founder & promoter of the Uma Group of companies with an experience of over 30 years in the industry. He has completed his graduation in B.COM (Hons) from Bhawanipur Education Society College and Post-graduation in Business Management in foreign trade, BILAMS Kolkata.

Nitish Khemka, Director: He has completed his certification in Accountancy from the Chartered Institute of Management Accountant, London and Masters in Family Business Management from SP Jain, Mumbai. He has joined the business recently and is actively leading Business Development to  effectively conduct Market Research and establish Umaexpo as the most sought after spices brand in India.

Nilesh Agarwal, Senior Manager Export: :He is a graduate in B.Com (Hons) from St.Xavier's College, Kolkata and M.B.A from ICFAI, Mumbai.

Amlesh Singh, Senior Manager Purchase: He is a B.Com Graduate & Biological Engineer in Agriculture.

Our manufacturing unit is located in Guntur, Andhra Pradesh.

We have 8 stem cut machines with a capacity of 1.5 metric ton per hour and 2 sortex machines with a capacity of 500 kgs per hour for dry red chillies alone. These machines are used to cut the stem of dry red chillies efficiently for grading and filtering out the bad quality and/or the discolored chilly from the good quality. Thereby, saving time, labour and adding to our quality control.

We also have an excellently designed in-house testing department where latest machinery and equipment are installed for effective quality assurance. A team of well qualified personnel is deployed to closely supervise the process of quality testing so that every flaw and defect is weeded out at the right time.

We are recognized for our export quality & volumes of spices in India and hold memberships with several important associations & boards such as Federation of Indian Export Organisations (FIEO), Spices Board of India, Agricultural & Processed Food Products Export Development Authority of India (APEDA)
